Enjoy a fun and elegant evening celebrating the 260th anniversary of the landmarked Morris-Jumel Mansion. The Mansion is the oldest residence in Manhattan that has been both witness and host to history since 1765 — 11 years before the founding of the USA — and today remains a cultural and community treasure.
Help us raise much-needed funds to preserve history and serve the community.
Each year the George Washington Dinner commemorates the 1790 dinner held at the Morris-Jumel Mansion hosted by President George Washington and his wife Martha for his Cabinet, including Vice President John Adams and his wife Abigail, Thomas Jefferson, and Eliza and Alexander Hamilton.
While the Mansion undergoes exterior restoration, this year’s George Washington Dinner will take place at another historic icon of upper Manhattan: The Shabazz Center, 3940 Broadway at West 165th Street, New York City.

Honorees

We are proud to honor these individuals who have contributed greatly to our community, our city, and the Mansion.  The 2025 George Washington Dinner caps off a year of events and activities marking 260 years of the Morris-Jumel Mansion, and this year’s honorees are part of the fabric of that history.

The incomparable Marjorie Eliot, renowned jazz pianist, who will receive the Morris-Jumel Mansion Community Service Award. A musical icon, since 1993 Marjorie has hosted free Jazz at the Mansion concerts with Parlor Entertainment, as well as musical gatherings at her Harlem home.

Executive Director of the Historic House Trust of New York City, Giulietta Fiore, who will receive the Morris-Jumel Mansion Excellence in Preservation Award. HHT has been a vital partner in the long-awaited exterior restoration of the Mansion, which commences this fall under her leadership.
