Opening Reception of “Revised Histories” Exhibition

Join us on Saturday, December 10 from 11 AM to 1 PM to meet artist Traci Talasco and experience her site-specific installations in Revised Histories at the Morris-Jumel Mansion. There will be light refreshments and the artist will share her critical insights and process for creation.

Revised Histories addresses the re-telling of history with its mistakes, inaccuracies, or details purposely left out. Viewing the space through a de-colonialist lens, Talasco’s use of pink erasers and bars of Ivory soap recontextualize the familiar in poetic ways.

Attendees must register through Eventbrite. Masks are required inside the museum.
