Opening Reception for “Life Below Stairs”

JOIN US FOR A COCKTAIL RECEPTION AS WE UNVEIL THE REINTERPRETATION OF MORRIS-JUMEL’S 18TH-CENTURY KITCHEN AND EXHIBITION: LIFE BELOW STAIRS.

Author & Food Historian Ramin Ganeshram will share unexpected stories of the origins of American food and foodways, and what life was like for those who served below stairs at the Morris-Jumel Mansion. We will also premiere the audio experience, Northup, by Black Gotham, about the life of Anne Northup, who cooked for Eliza Jumel.
