Take a break from the summer heat and make your own colonial-inspired ice cream! Learn about the history of Early American ice cream, the sometimes unusual flavors they used, and how ice cream was made. Then, choose your flavors and make your own delicious ice cream to enjoy.

Free with pre-registration. Limit of four places per family. We encourage all guests to bring a picnic blanket to sit on the lawn and enjoy your homemade ice cream after the program.Safety Requirements: This socially-distanced workshop will be held outside of Morris-Jumel Mansion on the bluestone patio. Masks are required for participants over the age of two when social distancing is not possible. Your health and safety are our top priorities. Please be assured that the museum will follow guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), New York State, and New York City for increased health and safety procedures.
