Saturday, Sept. 10, 1-3pm

Where

Outside on the bluestone patio

Explore the science of early movie-making by creating your own zoetrope! A zoetrope, or “wheel of life,” was an early 19th-century toy in which drawings of an object appeared to move when viewed through a spinning cylinder. Join us to make your own animation and zoetrope and find out more about Morris-Jumel Mansion’s connection to early movie-making history. Free.

This drop-in workshop will be held outside of the Mansion on the stone terrace. Masks are required for all participants over the age of two.
