Support Morris-Jumel Mansion while immersing yourself in an interactive fundraiser! This year’s annual summer fundraiser will feature a DIY ice cream making workshop, rum tasting with Hercules Mulligan, a brief talk on rum’s ties to George Washington and the American Revolution, plus a guided tour of our latest exhibition, At Ease: Photographs by Military Veterans in New York, featuring collection items and memorabilia from the American Revolution.
The evening commemorates the dinner that George Washington hosted at the Mansion on July 10 of 1790 for the men who would later form the first cabinet of the United States: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and Henry Knox. This annual fundraiser helps provide support for the many free programs the organization offers the community throughout the year.
This event will be hosted outdoors, and in the event of inclement weather, the fundraiser will be rescheduled to Thursday, July 14.
